I am pleasantly surprised as I have 're-discovered' the accordion. I started at the age of 5, but stopped playing in my teens, and took up synthesizers. I seem to have come to my senses however, and am starting to play again more regularly. Some projects for me are finishing my MIDI conversion of my IORIO accorgan, and learning to play the diatonic accordion (Corso) that I purchased last year. My father (now 69 years) have played it since he was 7, so I have lived with the sound of it for a long time (he played for hours/day, still does) but as a youngster, I did not appreciate the sound or the tunes from it. Deep Purple/ Led Zeppelin was hard to combine whith accordion. But hey, you get older and things changes!! My father got 2 CA:s (BUGARI and a BORSINI NOSTALGIC), and I borrowed the later one, which is such a beautiful piece, so you just want to learn how to play it! Nowdays I think accordion is great, My son (3 year)just love hard rock........ Great website!!! |
